The opening day features two stages ahead of six on Day 2.

The clock is ticking as we are only 24 hours away from the ceremonial start of TARGA Tasmania.

Every conceivable space is taken with the huge field of cars setting off from the Silverdome to the midday ceremonial start at Launceston’s Grand Chancellor Hotel.

From there the field will converge on the opening stage (Hillwood) ahead of the George Town street stage.

The 1988 Giocattolo Group B driven by Adam Kaplan and co-driven by Aleshia Penney broke a driveshaft on the final stage.

Philip Macwhirter and Laurette Macwhirter are in Mansfield waiting for a battery for their 1970 Alfa Romeo Guilia, still hopeful of making the start of TS20 (Mt Buller).
