Good morning from Cairns where the skies are overcast and there is a chance, albeit slight, of rain through the day.

The forecast will see the temperature reach a maximum of 27 degrees.

There are six stages scheduled for the second leg which will kick off with the Kuranda Range run up to the top.

The first competition cars are due to start that stage at 9.46am.
