Brian and Justin Marshall have moved from second to first place in the Budget TSD Trophy competition on day four of Targa Tasmania.
Driving their 2011 Volkswagen Polo GTI, the pair made their move on the final two stages of the day, and now hold a four point advantage over the 2005 Alfa Romeo GT of previous leaders Gerard Knapp and Roger Campbell.
Darryl and Andrew Marshall maintained their third place in a Ford Falcon Ute, with Neil Wrigley and Chris Neilsen moving up to fourth in a 2011 Porsche Cayman S.
Last year’s winners, Alan and Heather Gluyas, are still fighting hard in their Toyota 86 to hold fifth place, but their gap to the leaders of 44 points could be a mountain too far for them.
Gerry Bashford and Bob Watson dropped from fourth to sixth today in their Ford Escort.
In contrast to Brian Marshall’s points loss of 75, Paul and Megan Kovac are currently in 27th (and last) place with 4375 points lost.
