In Classic Outright, reigning Targa Tasmania champion Rex Broadbent has beaten the Torana A9X of Peter O’Keefe by 6 seconds on TS7.  O’Keefe still leads, but Broadbent is now only 14 seconds off the pace with one stage to go on day 1.  The Torana ‘tag team’ is proving a formidable force, with Greg Garwood in equal second also 14 seconds of the pace of the leader.
